Supplements – Good or Bad

Estimated read time 4 min read

‘An apple a day keeps the doctor away’ was a proverb of the by gone era now a days it is ‘5-6 pills a day or few spoons of powder a day will keep the doctor away’.

Now the question arises in the previous proverb we were talking about a fresh produce like an apple now if it is able to give all the benefits then why on earth should we go for some chemical derivatives which are alien to our bodies and very harmful for the organs as well.

Supplements supplements and supplements where ever I see or listen in many podcasts there are supplements but the question is are supplements really that good and what about the adverse effects of them on our health.

Supplements - Good or Bad

Now there are a few benefits of these supplements on our health like: it is a bit easy for us to consume and keep our health in track if we have some kind of deficiencies in our it is very easy to get some medicines over the counter and simply eat them.

But there are just so many side effects and adverse effects that these supplements give on our body if used more than our body’s requirements and also for prolonged time periods.

Side effects occur like: Dizziness, Nausea, Vomiting, Digestive problems, Allergic reactions, Acne, Skin reactions, Light sensitivity, Abdominal pain, Loss of appetite ect.

Thus I can’t understand the point of taking these supplements as they rather than doing good and beneficial things for our body it is doing many worse things.

Why knowingly or unknowingly we are poisoning ourselves by the consumption of these on the recommendation of an unknown person who we call family doctor my stench belief is that no one just no one would know your body and its requirements better than you.

Whenever I see ultramarathon runners I always see that majority of them are very slender looking and this thought always came to my mind that these people look deficient also how do these people get the energy to run 50 miles but soon I discovered many ultramarathon runners are mostly dependent upon glucose and supplements and just think that what will be the aftermath of all the chemicals on their body.

When we take chemical derivatives all our organs like kidneys, liver has to really work hard to nullify the effects of these artificially synthesized chemicals thus even tormenting the organs which may leave us in a short period of time asking us for a transplant stop taking any supplements for your own good and also think about your internal organs if you genuinely love yourself.

Recently many people have passed away like bodybuilders, players and athletes in an early age, so the question is why these kind of people are passing away in such an early even after doing so much of hard work and workout?

The major answer to majority of these deaths are supplements, glucose and steroids because the body is working hard as it is and upon all this you are consuming all the possible supplements, steroids and glucose and a whole lot of pressure is coming over the body to break these complex chemicals and there comes another condition of the heart called the ‘’Cardiomyopathy’’ but the most common condition among the athletes is ‘’Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy’’ in this condition the cardiac muscles of the heart become abnormally thick which causes a sudden cardiac death; the genesis of this complication occurs by steroid use.

In India where Yoga and Naturopathy is a very successfully  way of where nature takes care of us either in food or in medicinal requirements as our divine mother.

If we come from nature and even will go back to nature then why not practice all the natural ways and depend on nature thinking her to be our caring beloved parent then where is the question of intaking the artificially synthesized substances which will nourish our bodies entirely.

If nature has given us what is best for our bodies in its natural and purest forms then why take artificial synthesized ones.
