Running is an activity that is necessary for everyone as it has so many uncountable benefits for us.
It is also not limited to any equipment other than our legs and running is the best way to burn all those extra calories.
But as soon as any of our body’s mechanism shuts down and our doctor tells us for restricted diet and workout till then we copy the life of a Sloth but if I talk to a runner running is so compulsive and addictive due to its profuse health benefits followed by an elaborate resting time and also healthy diet thus enjoying the running and its benefit without any doubt.
Our ancestors are the primitive globe trotters who use to cross the continents on their bipedal vehicle which was their solid and strong feet.
I wonder sometimes how strong the must have been and how incredible their feet was nevertheless their stamina part is of different parameter to think of now as they had a very active lifestyle, as we know they were hunters and gatherers which asked for tremendous speed and stamina.
There is a huge myth around running that is it will help you loose weight but it won’t decrease your muscles rather it will help you build them and will make you look healthier and also will slower the aging process because as much as you age muscles become more and more important for your body.
However for gaining muscle mass you need to do workout both cardio and resistance training and in cardio the most major exercise is running only.
Now a days if we analyze closely we are really standing by the word couch potatoes who in the real sense consumes every nasty edible thing, doing chore just by the movement of a finger or two on their smart phones which really compels me to the who is real smart the user or the device I think we very well know the answer.
But as human beings we are born to run unlike all the animals who how to swim since they are born.
Now let’s discuss the advantages of running:
1: Mental Health- Running relives the brain form stress and anxiety, it also helps in conditions like sleeplessness called insomnia, boosting mood and temperament releasing endorphins which are feel good hormones.
2: Heart Health- Regular running also keeps heart health in check as it decreases the risk of cardiac arrest, stroke and it also increases the HDL or good cholesterol.
3: Weight loss – Running can help you loose weight (fat) and burn all the extra calories.
4: Bone health- Running helps you loose weight (Like Fat) but will help you gain muscle which as a result will give bones a very excellent support.
While running it would be advisable to take care of the gears and gadgets essentially meant for running especially the shoe and to replenish yourself time on time with adequate fluids to avoid an kind of muscle soreness and cramps.
According to me it is best to run amidst nature in places like forests as we too go to our nearby forest to do running and the time period we are inside the forest is the best time of the whole day and this is my practical experience of running inside the forest.
Then looking at the sunrise, chirping of the birds, grazing deer, peacocks walking here and there the whole atmosphere is so much majestic.
However we humans due to our lazy attitude give up the active lifestyle which we tend to live for.
Before running it would be very advisable if tend to get up in the early hours before the sunrise and do some meditation and yoga to enhance mental strength and yogic postures will stretch the muscle, ligaments and tendons to avoid any injury.
As I belief mental and physical strength goes hand in hand.
