Ram- The Maryada Purushottam (Part-1)

ॐ श्री रामाय नमः॥

Om Shree Ramaya Namaha

Ram is the incarnation of Shree Hari Vishnu and has been named the name the ‘Maryada Purushottam’ or the one who always abides by Dharma or Virtue in any circumstances.

The whole epic of Raghav begins from his birth due to a Yajna performed by Dashrat who was his father and mother Kaushalya in Ayodhya; Ram had 3 more brothers named Bharat, Lakshman, Shatrugan who were all devoted upon him and had enormous amount of respect for Rama.

The birth of Rama was nothing other than the ascending of Naryana himself in human form which occurred for the accomplishment of the mission of Vishnu for slaying Ravana as there was a boon granted to him due to an aftermath of hard penance that no god will be able to kill him except the incarnation of god therefore, Ravana started underestimating every one due to this power and became too much arrogant.

As soon as Rama was born Mahadev says to Ma Parvati that ‘god has arrived on earth so I must also take and avatar to see him over there’.

Ma Parvati became worried and asks lord Shiva ‘if you will go to the earth what will I do alone’.

Shiva smiles at her and answers ‘a small part of mine will descend to earth in the form of an incarnation and my rest part will be here with you only’.

Thus Shiv incarnated himself in the form of Mahaveer Hanuman.

As Rama and his siblings their education and training begins as young princes from their gurus Vishwamitra and Vaishishta.

Rama and Krishna are both incarnations of Vishnu but Rama is reserved and Introvert while Krishna is an Extravert.

As Rama grows Kausalya says to Rama that he should be ready now to bring a consort to get married at first he refused to do so, but later agreed.

King Janaka who was the father of Ma Sita organises a Swayamvar in which the task was to string the Celestial Bow ‘Pinaka’ of Mahadeva which was granted to Janaka by Shivji due to the penance done by him and said to Janak ‘ O Janak you will have to use this Bow in your daughter’s Swyamvar and Vishnu will arrive himself to break this bow and will become the consort of your daughter’.

But everyone failed to do so and many were not even able to lift the bow as it was so much heavy; Rama arrived he effortlessly lifts the Pinaka and broke it apart into two pices and thus king Janak became extremely contented and Sita became the consort of lord Ram, Sita happily puts a beautiful garland of flowers in lord Rama’s neck; then Rama makes a promise to Sita that she will be his one and only wife, and he will not marry anyone else in his whole life.

During the arrival of lord Ram to their kingdom with his brothers as Dashratha was invited to the marriage of lord Ram and goddess Sita; Rama encounters Parshurama who is another incarnation of Vishnu, thus Parshurama gives Rama the powerful which was impossible to even lift the bow of Vishnu ‘Sharanga’ by any ordinary human and challenges Rama to show his strength by stringing and breaking the bow.

Effortlessly Rama does the same with the bow and making Parshuram realize the Rama was also an avatar of Vishnu.

Upon entering Ayodhya they were welcomed by enormous number of people very beautifully as Rama was inside the heart of everyone.

Then the auspicious marriage of both Rama and Sita takes place and they return to Ayodhya.
