Landing on the moon is a new trend that is going on globally. Just so many satellites are being launched by India as well as from other countries around the world, including the United States. The United States is also scheduled to launch its satellites in 2024, and India had a huge success with Chandrayaan 3 in 2023. However, according to me, the point is that it is good to launch all these satellites, but similarly, we should also take care of the earth because there is such a huge climatic mayhem going on globally.
Whether it’s the melting and drifting of the ice in Antarctica, especially the melting part, as it is giving birth to a drastically increased rise in water level, which can sink cities like New York and London beneath the sea, Or the super catastrophic storms that are catching hold of the whole United Kingdom and the United States, whether those are the severe hurricanes and tornadoes that are occurring again and again in Texas. Also drying up of the Colorado River, which can bring a big drought to costly cities like Los Angeles.
Devastating landslides in India’s Himachal Pradesh as well. But all this is man made only so it is also necessary to focus on nature because when we are not only able to take care of Mother Earth, how come we could have the ability to take care of the moon or any other planet, galaxy, etc.? So according to me, what is the point of launching all these satellites on the moon and other planets when we are not taking care of Mother Earth alone?
Millions and trillions of dollars are being spent on these trial methods. The point here is that scientists can make predictions of catastrophes but cannot stop them. They can warn mankind before hand but cannot save mankind from the perils of destruction. On one hand, such an immense amount of financial loss takes place when nature casts its spell, not to mention the loss of lives, and on the other, such a huge sum of money is used to make the spaceships and other preparations for their launch. If the launch is unsuccessful, the whole sum of money will collapse then and there.
Which could have been used for the well being of mankind? If we take into account the history of the Romans, the Indus Valley, and many other civilizations, they are no less progressive than us. If we see their drainage and irrigation systems, water conservation, art and culture, and all other basic systems of life, then it enlightens us on how knowledgeable they were. On the other hand, the so-called ‘Modern Civilisation’ is getting addicted to all the possible gadgets, surrendering ourselves to the hands of Artificial intelligence (AI), getting hard core lazy masses, and now that we have done enough to destroy the earth, we are looking forward to destroying some other planet.
There is news that NASA has found a symbol of life on Mars. Now humans can also try moving to Mars after the Earth is finished, etc. Nevertheless, my question is: is this the way that humans have created all the possible filth on Mother Earth, and they haven’t even tried saving her; rather, we have given her all the filth and burden of our destruction.
We have created and are still continuing to do all these bad things even after experiencing all these catastrophic natural disasters but we still aren’t learning a lesson and planning to create all this filth once again on another planet. So all this means that nothing is written in our destiny other than going extinct…
