There are just so many natural calamities happening all over the world!!!! Even in one of the richest countries, I just have a simple question: are they able to stop all this with money??? But hold on!!!!
Whenever I see people in natural places, I always think that they are not even thinking about nature because the majority of them are busy either making gossip or with their smartphones, so these kinds of people should be called un-smart people with smartphones. They are not even enjoying the nature around them; talking about Maa Narmada’s or any other place’s cleaning or planting trees or doing some Sadhana is far off. So why don’t all these people sit at their homes and do all this?
When we do the cleaning of the ghats, all these people see us as if we are some kind of alien. In this Christmas only, we went to Bargi Dam. All the people who came there in the name of celebrating Christmas had created an enormous amount of filth, and it was all but thermacol, plastic, and ployethylene terephatalate, which is a very hard variety of plastic used for making plastic bottles.
It was just so bad to see all this filth in such a gorgeous and beautiful place. Everyone of those people was busy gossiping and smiling an unnatural and quixotic smile, they were least bothered by the filth all of them had created. When we went to talk to them about all this, instead of realising what they had done, they all gave us a very frosty nose stare and simply answered us in a very rude tone: ‘It’s not our responsibility to keep this place clean because it’s not our property’. Then this thing comes to our mind: what is nature doing wrong, making all these calamities? What will Lord ‘Vishnu ji’s Kalki avtar’ or the destroyer ‘Shiv ji’ do wrong, ending these kind of hand to mouth and hopeless people who are not considering nature as their mother?
But when, on their own, for example, an earthquake of magnitude 9 strikes and all their homes start collapsing, they’ll start crying and throwing all the possible tantrums they can. Then they start making nature the culprit, as if they have contributed nothing to this whole chaos. Cutting of plants unnecessarily, and wherever they see beautiful, fully grown trees, they start saying, “Why have you created such a humongous jungle at your home? Instead of wasting this area, you should have done some cementing in this area and kept some tenants…”
So according to all these calamities that are arriving now, they will not decrease; rather, they are increasing day by day and year after year. All these calamities must be considered global ‘warnings’. As it is already too late to revive nature, at least we can take a few steps to replenish nature for our own survival…
