Eating: The Colossal Catastrophe!!!

Eating, eating, eating and more of it wherever I see people majority of them are busy doing just one thing that is eating and the way they are eating is like they are hungry form 20 years but all of them are just gobbling on junk food and not on homemade healthy food.

If they are separated from junk food and are not allowed to eat it for a week, majority of these people will fall in depression and many will start doing suicidal attempts as well as food has a very big impact on our brain because junk food is known for increasing a hormone called Dopamine.

There are many ways that shows that eating (Junk food) is becoming a disaster now, one of them is increased obesity among people which is an important topic to discuss.

A recent study has confirmed that globally 3 out of every 5 adults is obese globally and it’s a matter of concern, the main cause of obesity is lack of workout because more calories are being consumed.

Obesity is the main cause of many major diseases like:

Cardiovascular diseases- Obesity causes heart related problems like stroke, heart attack, atherosclerosis which is a condition when fat starts getting deposited in narrow arteries.

Type 2 Diabetes- This condition causes blood sugar levels to become too much high.

High Blood pressure- This makes our blood run through the arteries and veins with abnormally high pressure which is also known as hypertension.

High cholesterol- In this scenario the LDL or Bad cholesterol increases and HDL or Good cholesterol decreases or high levels of triglycerides.

Musculoskeletal diseases-  Which include Osteoarthritis thus people suffering with obesity could be a prey to it.

Cancer- People with obesity also have a high risk of acquiring this deadly disease.

Asthma- Obese people mostly are prone to having asthma the reason behind this is that they are overweight and their BMI (Body Mass Index) is also too much high which, in asthma the muscles of the air ways start to become tight so it triggers to breathe and for an obese person it is much more difficult to breathe.

These are the a few diseases and conditions that obese people face; but majority of the people knowingly that they are obese or they are consuming more calories than required by them that is 2000 calories a day for a normal adult.

There must a balance between calorie consumption and calorie burning a simple rule must be used by every individual that is burn all the calories consumed by doing workout, yoga, exercise or indulging in some sport ect.

If you see our ancestors, they were never obese because the at that time did not eat junk food neither they were obsessed with eating and they also burnt all their calories by doing physical activity or workout and there was nothing abnormal about it because workout was a part of their daily lives.

Every one of us should consume healthy homemade food which is the way to stay healthy and hearty and we all must focus on doing physical activity as it is the need of the hour because obesity is becoming a catastrophe among majority of the people.

One must gain muscles for giving shape and framework to the body, little bit of fat is also required on our body but not like you are a dummy made out of fat, it is necessary to eat food in a certain limit and chewing it properly and eating it slowly this way we can stop our bodies from becoming obese and we will also reduce a little bit burden which we are giving on the shoulders of mother earth.
