These rock shelters also show cultural, spiritual and agricultural evolution of humans.

These rock shelters also comprise of India’s most ancient rock painting art which shows different animals, hunters during the time of stone age warriors on horse dancing people painted later rather during the Bronze age or Dwapar Yuga.

Rock Paintings at Bhimbetka

It is proven that once these rock shelters were under sea and later a tributary of Narmada passed from here and these people at the starting were hunters and gatherers later on they started doing agriculture and all this is represented by them through paintings.

This site contains one of the oldest rock walls and floors.

Till date 750 rock shelters have been identified and this place has got its place in the UNESCO world heritage site these cave attract several uncountable tourists every year.

Among all the 750 rock shelters the one of the most mesmerizing one is the Auditorium Cave which is fully surrounded by quartzite pillars and can be seen from far away this cave is the largest rock shelter in Bhimbetka the entrance passage of this cave points the east direction, so at the end of this eastern passage is a humongous bolder which is name as the ‘King’s Rock’.

This clearly show how much intelligent and advance our ancestors were without all modern gadgets and off course without Artificial Intelligence (AI) as they did all these paintings based on their observation and what they did, the Archeological Survey of India (ASI) has also found many artifacts, pigments ect. during the excavation of the Bhemibetka.

Bhimbetka is also linked to the great Hindu epic Mahabaharat that during the exile of Pandavas, Bheem along with other Pandavas rested here that is why these rock shelters are named Bhimbetka.

Also if the word Bhimbetka is broken down ‘Bheem’+ ‘Betka’ which simply means the lounge of Bheem.

According to ASI there has been continuous human settlement in Bhembetka rock shelters; I always wonder that if these so much advance and intelligent human beings were present on earth so what are we in front of them because we are not mentally strong neither we are physically strong like them needless to say that majority of the people now are not leading an active lifestyle like them.

So how come we can expect to survive on planet earth as we are also breaking the harmony between us or so called social creatures Humans and mother nature but these ancient live in harmony with nature the biggest proof of this is that how they lived in caves.

But will we be able to live in caves like them now as well and that to without smart phones and any other gadget?

The answer is absolutely no; now majority of the people low to be in a very comfortable life like just switch on the AC gobbling on all the food that is nothing other than a slow poison doing useless fidgeting on smartphones then spending their whole lives proving themselves nothing other than a Couch Potatoes and the story ends here.

But these comfortable lives of people are making them catch deadly diseases and however our ancestors never fell prey such to such deadly diseases.

So it is very important to stay in harmony with mother nature and lead an active lifestyle same like how our ancestors did for leading a healthy and active life.
